Los Alamos Pony Club Calendar 2008

The mission of the United States Pony Clubs is to provide a program for youth
that teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies,
thereby developing responsibility, moral judgment, leadership, and self-confidence.

General Information

Official unmounted meetings for all Ds and Cs are the 1st Sunday (1 p.m.) and mounted meetings for the whole group are the 3rd Saturday (9 a.m.) of each month, unless otherwise noted, weather permitting. Members are encouraged to mark their calendars, as unless you hear of a lesson cancellation, these lessons are ON and attendance will be taken! Monday afternoons, weather permitting, we have optional mounted lessons with Kim Prichard. Tuesdays she provides optional sessions for D3/C riders. D1s also have optional mounted lessons every Wednesday afternoon during the school year. Dressage trainer Katy Lindberg also teaches either in Los Alamos or White Rock once or twice a month, and PC groups (2 or 3 to a ride) are encouraged as space allows. These optional lessons do not count on "member in good standing" records, as they are private lessons, not club requirements, but we encourage all members to take advantage of all these excellent learning opportunities!

Third Saturday 1/18 Mounted Meeting – no safe footing, so meet at Lisa’s 10 a.m. for unmounted on bits with Nancy A – know your snaffles, pelhams, gags and elevators by the end of this meeting!
